Business Property and Liability Insurance
A Business owner's policy (BOP) has been compared to a homeowner's policy for business. Typically, a BOP includes property insurance, liability protection, business interruption insurance, and crime insurance. A BOP can be tailored to fit the unique needs of your business or practice. Other coverages – flood, valuable papers and records, accounts receivable, computers – are available at very little cost.
Professional Liability Insurance
Professional Liability Insurance protects you from claims brought against you or your practice for things you did or failed to do which harmed a patient or client. Coverage includes legal defense costs, no matter how baseless the allegations. This coverage is excluded on the BOP. Gracey-Backer, Inc. specializes in the professional liability insurance needs of physicians, surgeons, oral surgeons, and dentists. We serve many other professionals such as accountants, lawyers, architects, consultants, etc. We also offer legal defense-only policies at a fraction of the premium.
Workers' Compensation Insurance
Florida law requires businesses with four or more employees to carry Workers' Compensation insurance. It pays employees for the cost of treating work-related illness or injury. As rates come down, more and more employers are opting to include themselves. Employers' Liability Coverage protects employers from lawsuits involving work-related accidents or diseases.

Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI)
More and more employers, especially professional groups, are protecting themselves for lawsuits by employees for such acts as wrongful termination, wrongful hiring, discrimination, alleged sexual or workplace harassment, breach of employment agreement, defamation, failure to promote, etc. Legal expenses are included in the limit of liability – whether or not you prevail in a lawsuit. In addition, employees receive Identity Fraud Expense Reimbursement Coverage – a benefit to them.
Umbrella Liability Insurance
Professionals remain vulnerable to catastrophic claims against them and their practices. Many of them carry higher limits of liability protection than offered on the standard liability insurance policy.
Commercial Automobile Protection
Company vehicles like cars, vans, and trucks, as well as personal vehicles used for business, need specific business coverage. For example, if employees use their own vehicles to run errands for business, that should be covered by a commercial automobile policy. Personal auto policies are inadequate to cover business exposures.
